Using his own childhood experience as evidence, he teased his buddy by saying in Hindi that Bombay was far behind in kite-flying abilities.
In the video Sharma can be heard saying, “Bombay abhi bahut peeche hain patangbaazi mein. Yeh abhi inko bahut saal lagenge, humari bachpan ki mehnat hain.Β (Bombay is still way behind when it comes to kite flying. It’s going to take them years to catch up; this is a skill honed since our childhood),”
A video of the match was posted on X by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, providing fans with an unbiased glimpse of the laid-back vibe within the Indian camp prior to the series opener. Throughout the conversation, Dube, a left-handed power hitter like Abhishek, was the target of amicable jokes.
Over the course of the three games, both players are anticipated to make major contributions to India’s batting strategies. While Dube provides significant hitting power in the middle and lower middle order, Abhishek brings an attacking attitude to the top of the order that puts pressure on opposition bowlers from the very first over.
